A personal favourite, all Hanwei's Practical Tai Chi series offers the highest quality I have so far seen in the maket. The range represents Hanwei's response to many requests to develop a very high quality Tai Chi sword for every day practice. The sword has a steel pommel and guard plated to harmonise with the colour scheme of the sword. The blades are fully tempered high-carbon steel and brilliantly balanced. This sword balances at 4" from the grip end of the gaurd. It weighs only 1.2lbs, somewhat due to it's rapid taper fullered blade. It's weight makes it very comfortable to use and helps maintain control even when you are attempting to add serious speed to your technique.
It looks great, and is a weapon you really can be proud of!

Cons:

I have this sword with a 30" blade - an excellent medium weight and fairly stiff sword. Very well made, unusually narrow blade. As with all swords, must be well looked after to prevent rust. Blood grooves are a nice touch. Fairly sharp at the point, dull at the edges for practice. Bought from http://www.zords.com (uk) for an excellent price.

I will definately be buying more Hanwei - Paul Chen products.
