Absolutely fabulous. For any Jackie Chan fans out there, here\'s a chance to go behind closed doors and see the making of all his biggest, most dangerous stunts. Mister Chan takes you on a guided tour of what it takes to do his stunts, from pre-visualization, prepping the set, tricks of the trade, and his famous humorous ad-libs in choreography. He introduces you to his stunt team, the people he works with who literally entrust their lives to each other at work.
It all starts with visualization, how is it supposed to look, what\'s the feel? Then it goes to prep work, setting up the props to break correctly and safely, making sure everything\'s in order. Then comes the action actual filming, many times with multiple takes each requiring setups agian and again. With this in mind, he takes a look at some of the more outlandish stunts he\'s done in his movies, the Supercop series, Operation Condor, First Strike, Who Am I, Mister Nice Guy, and many others. He breaks down each stunt in how he did it, how many takes, and many other great anecdotes that will make you appreciate them even more.
He also gives an enormous amount of credit to the Jackie Chan Stunt team. He goes in detail about how much they practice together, proper techniques to fall and take hits, and tricks they have developed to add that extra something to their movies. He shows how they might come on to a set and work up a fight sequence from scratch, using the environment as only Jackie can. They even demonstrate a few doing actual takes, critiquing each for what worked and what didn\'t.
Bottom line, get this video if you can find a retailers with a decent price. You\'ll have a newfound respect for stuntmen in general, but especially for Jackie and his team and how they do so much with so little.
