ONg Bak...what can I say? Possibly the best martial arts movie in the past 5 years Ong Bak stars Tony Jaa as Ting, a villlager in a remote part of Thailand and is on a mission to get a the stolen Ong BAk statue back for his village....w/his fists!!! Ok..what is not importtant here is the story, what is is the action, and man what action. Jaa is insane. There is no other way to put it. Combiining Muay Thai and his back ground as a gymnist Jaa puts to shame even Jackie in his hey day. Doubt me....just watch...the man is crazy...ever slide in a split under a movi.ng car? Jaa did...Ever jump a car...nope didn't think so but my man Tony is on it...what about jumping througha hoop of barbed wire? probably not right?oh yeah and fights....forget it...the fights in this movie throw down in the muay thai vein. Granted i don't know much about muay thai, but the fights are stunning...choregraphed w/o a lot of the so called "wire fu" that strickens movies today.
The bottom line here is that this movie can be wathced w/ mute on...thats how good the action is...recomended!!!!!!
