Hi all,
Been a while since I have been on this site. I decided to spend more time actually physically training rather than just writing about training so have not had the time to come on here and contribute much.
But I am back and am planning on spending some time on here now.
I have been busy with my Wing Chun instructor Sifu John Agar helping him film some downloadable, affordable Wing Chun absolute beginner video's. These are aimed at helping people with no previous experience of Wing Chun to learn the system from the basic foundations upwards. John has filmed these as if you were attending one of his classes and demonstrates and explains each technique or principle before moving on. He shows the traditional way of practising a technique and then shows a more practical version too including applications.
So far we have filmed 4 videos's. Video's one, two and three all follow the natural progression through the basics of Wing Chun. Video four is purely dedicated to demonstrating the Siu Lim Tao form and its applications.
If you would like more info regarding these then feel free to drop me a line or check the following websites.

or the downloadable video's will be available from the following site very shortly.

If you would like a preview of the video's then please check out the 3 videos I have added to this site under the videos - instructional section. There is a teaser trailer and a 2 part interview conducted by myself with Sifu Agar.
Thanks for taking the time to read this anyway,
Matt Laing.
hi sokuto that you doing the interviews?
lookin good
all standard wing chun fair
although if i managed to get you into that arm up the back situation
i wouildnt let you come around with an elbow like that
out of interest who did he learn wing chun from?
he never actually says on the videos (i may have missed it tho')
Yeah mate, that is me. Yeah, it is pretty much standard Wing Chun covered so far as these video's are aimed at the beginner.
As for getting my arm up my back like that, don't hold your breath, lol.
I appreciate you replying to my threads though. Trying to generate as much interest as possible on behalf of my Sifu to try to get his new site up and running. If you know anyone who might be interested in taking a look please feel free to pass the links on to them.
Ta...............
His first Sifu was Alick Au (who returned to Hong Kong, not sure of the spelling of his name though) but he also was taught by Alan Lamb (who is now in the US). The system he teaches though is a blend of what he was taught by those instructors plus modifications he has made over the years. He teaches traditional W/C but with an eye on practicality and the modern world.
